About
Balagurukulam is an orphanage located in Chennai, India. Most of the children were found in the garbage dump as infants, some were tsunami victims, and others were found in bonded labor. Currently, most of the children at the orphanage attend schools that average ninety children per class. Two years ago, the children slept under a thatched roof that was frequently blown away by hurricanes; one of Turn Your World Around’s programs (HOPE) funded the construction of a proper dormitory.
