Fundraising Ideas

It can be hard to get people to give, so here are a few ideas on how to get a nice chunk of change for your cause:
Bakesales are easy to organize, are sure to raise money, and are incredibly yummy!
Have a movie night and charge people for admission and refreshments.
Have a car wash – plenty of parents would be willing to pay!
The Change Challenge – Give a prize (like a free breakfast) to the grade in your school that collects the most for your cause.
Host a school dance; everyone is bound to come.
Redeem empty soda bottles at a local grocery store – be prepared to get dirty.
Have a 50-50 raffle – this requires minimal input and can have maximum output.
Organize your friends and schoolmates to participate in a walk around the school track for your cause.
Write letters requesting donations from local companies, neighbors, and community members. Donations do not necessarily have to be money – different people can make different types of contributions.
Ask your friends to donate their babysitting money to your cause. Or better yet, organize a babysitting club just for that purpose.
Sell T-shirts relating to your cause. Not only will they raise money, they will also raise awareness!
Ask everyone to clean off their shelves and have a used book sale.
Have a concert where local bands can showcase their talent to the community.
